![]() ![]() I wanted the opportunity to get to know my professors and understand their passion for the subjects they teach and Campbellsville University definitely had that. I knew that I would not be as happy in a lecture hall of 200+ students where I could barely see the professor in the front of the room. I also chose CU because of the class sizes. You can’t deny the pleasant feeling that accompanies you on this campus. My first visit to Campbellsville University was on a Preview Day and from that day forward, I knew that was exactly where I needed to be. ![]() I chose Campbellsville University because of the Christian atmosphere that is present as soon as you step on campus. I currently hold the position of President of the Alpha Xi Sigma Chapter of Phi Alpha Theta, a National Historical Honor Society. I hope to gain experience in the classroom that I can utilize in a professional and career setting in the future. I will be the Graduate Assistant this coming semester as well and will be greatly involved in Phi Alpha Theta at Campbellsville University. We have also taken trips to Savannah, Charleston, Abraham Lincoln’s Birthplace, and many others.ĭue to the very friendly atmosphere at Campbellsville University and within Phi Alpha Theta, I have chosen to stay at Campbellsville University and pursue a Master’s of Arts in Social Science, specifically in History. While on this trip we visited the Washington Memorial, the Holocaust Museum, the Capital Building, stood outside the Library of Congress, viewed the World War II Memorial, and toured some of the Smithsonian Museum Complex among many other things. for the inauguration of President Barack Obama in January 2008. Through Campbellsville University Collegiate Historians, now Phi Alpha Theta, I got the opportunity to travel with fellow Historians to see historically significant places. Thus, I chose to pursue a Bachelor’s in History at Campbellsville University. Though my preferences for studying have changed, History has always been a large part of my life. As an elementary student I especially enjoyed studying Ancient Greece, Rome, and Britain. These are among a few of the qualities to consider when choosing a school to send your child to.My name is Sarah Sullivan and I have always had a passion for History. Such factors include class sizes and student-teacher ratios, the quality of teachers and amount of personal attention given to each student, school programs and extracurricular activities provided, amount of funding a school receives and how much is spent per student and other available resources. Ratings do not take into account other important factors you should consider when evaluating a school. Keep in mind ratings are solely based on a school's performance on its state's standardized tests. Some public schools may not have ratings because either the school did not report its results, the results were incomplete or there was not enough data available to calculate an accurate rating. Private schools do not have ratings because private schools are not obligated to report their test scores to the public. Private Schools & Schools Without Ratings Tests taken by fewer than 10 students are not calculated in the composite score. Composite scores are determined by combining a school's results for each test and grade and weighting scores by the number of students taking each test. Ratings are meant to give an overview of a school's performance in the most recent state standardized tests TrueSchools has records for.Įach school's rating is determined by comparing it's test scores to those of other schools in the same state. TrueSchools ratings range from 1 to 10, with 10 being the highest school rating and 1 being the lowest. School ratings are based on state standardized test scores and comparing those results to other schools in the same state. ![]()
